Judy Shoulak most recently served as EVP, President of North America Buffalo Wild Wings, leading the North American Business Unit (United States and Canada) for this rapidly-growing and highly successful restaurant chain. Buffalo Wild Wings currently has more than 1,200 locations around the world.

Shoulak joined Buffalo Wild Wings as Vice President of Human Resources in 2001 and was promoted to Senior VP of Human Resources in 2003. With her extensive Operations background, Shoulak was tapped to lead Operations as Senior Vice President in 2004. In 2010, she took on additional leadership responsibilities as Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Human Resources, and she was promoted to Executive Vice President, North American Operations, in 2011. She took on the presidential role in 2014.

During her 16-year career at Buffalo Wild Wings, Shoulak was instrumental in creating foundational processes and fostering internal alignment to support the organization’s steady growth. Her genuine and approachable style, unwavering determination to accomplish the company’s goals, and dedication to developing passionate, high-performing teams have enabled her to achieve consistently strong results. Prior to joining Buffalo Wild Wings, Shoulak held Operations and Human Resources leadership positions at OfficeMax, Inc.; The Original Cookie Company; and JCPenney.

Shoulak has a B.A. in Business Administration from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. After beating her battle with breast cancer, she helped start a family charity event called Shoulak BreastFest Music Festivals which raises money for breast cancer research, awareness, treatment, and cure. She serves on the board of directors for Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. In addition, she has served as an active board member for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, where she currently sits on the Advisory Panel.

Sarah Shoulak most recently served as the Engagement and Communication Manager for Lightmaker USA, developing and implementing employee initiatives for the US branch of the international digital agency. Lightmaker currently has offices in both Orlando, FL, and Tumbridge Wells, UK.

Shoulak joined Lightmaker USA as an Office Administrator in 2015 and quickly moved her way up the ranks. With a strong desire to help where help was needed, Shoulak took over Human Resources and Benefits functions when their previous Administrator left just months after her arrival. Though initially hired to simply plan events and manage employee timesheets, she quickly grew into a managerial role which involved creating new (and invigorating old) programs such as Internship, Mentorship, and Community Outreach. At Lightmaker’s annual awards ceremony, The Lumen Awards, Sarah was awarded “Best Noob” (Best New Hire) in 2015 and Lightmaker of the Year in 2016.

Prior to joining Lightmaker USA, Shoulak was an Adjunct Faculty member at Florida International University teaching Public Speaking in addition to coaching close to 20 students daily in a 1:1 environment called the Communication Arts Studio. Her use of humor, combined with her modern appearance, made it easy for students of all ages to feel comfortable with one of the most uncomfortable experiences people encounter; speaking in front of groups. You could say that Sarah Shoulak is the opposite of the cliché, stuffy college professor.

Shoulak has a M.A. in Communications Studies from The University of Miami in Miami, FL and a B.A. in Communication from The University of Colorado in Denver, CO. She first joined Toastmasters International in 2008 and was the Keynote Speaker at the Toastmasters Leadership Institute in 2015. Her early professional career also included participation in two National Student Leadership Conferences on the subjects of Entrepreneurship & Business and Mastering Leadership. In addition, she is active in her family’s music festival fundraiser to support breast cancer research, treatment, education, and cure.
